Base 5

We are a class of seven ākonga, 5 males and 2 females.  Jennifer Montgomery is the teacher and we have three teacher aides to help with learning and accessing the community.  We have a full programme of activities, including the use of resources such as our interactive SmartBoard, Lego Six Bricks, Numicon and iPad apps such as Boom learning.  We access the community by going to the supermarket, library, local parks and the Redwoods.  Life skills are a continuous focus for our class with cooking, road safety, hygiene, communication and social interactions as regular features in our programme.
